About Us

Gulf Breeze Consulting, Inc. is located in downtown Pensacola at 139 E. Government St. The Principals of GBCI are Daniel Nye, P.E., and Kenneth Gonzalez, P.E., who together possess more than 30 years of experience in the building design and construction industry. Combined, their experience includes working for well respected local engineering consulting firms, a quality HVAC equipment sales representative and a well respected national mechanical contractor. Together, Mr. Nye and Mr. Gonzalez possess a unique and diverse background. GBCI is ready and able to serve all your needs for professional consulting engineering for commissioning and in the HVAC, electrical and plumbing design disciplines.


Daniel A. Nye, P.E., LEED AP President, Registered Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Nye serves as the president and a principal of GBCI. He is a registered mechanical engineer and a LEED accredited professional. Mr. Nye is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In 2003, he formed GBCI. Mr. Nye has extensive experience with projects involving military, school, medical, restaurant, commercial, high density residential and religious facilities.


Kenneth L. Gonzalez, P.E., LEED AP Vice President, Registered Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Gonzalez serves as the vice president and a principal of GBCI. He is a LEED accredited professional and a registered mechanical engineer. In 2005, Mr. Gonzalez developed an animated estimating software system, which increased the potential for profitability and successful bid proposal for a local mechanical contractor. He joined GBCI in 2008 and brought with him his extensive experience in projects involving HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. His prior project involvement includes central energy plants, retail buildings, educational and religious facilities, medical and commercial offices, and military buildings.
